Air conditioning
Each room has individually controlled air conditioning, allowing our guests to cool down on hot summer days, and heat up on cold winter nights, according to their own needs. As we also use solar energy, we recommend using the air conditioning in winter as well for energy-saving and sustainability reasons.
Anti-allergenic bedding
Upon request, we can provide hypoallergenic pillows and duvets that do not contain feathers or down. Please indicate your requirements when ooking or ask at reception. Filling: 100% polyester fibre.
ATM (cash machine)
The nearest ATM is on Kárász street at the K&H bank, located at: 6720 Szeged, Klauzál square 5.
Baby accessories
If you are arriving with a baby or small child, we can provide you with the following items in the room and restaurant on request: baby cot, baby bathtub, baby bedding, baby chair, baby food warmer, step stool, changing mat, toilet seat, potty.
Bathrobe
We provide bathrobes free of charge upon request. Please indicate your wish at the reception desk. Please return the bathrobe to the reception desk at check-out.
Bathroom amenities
The following hygiene and cosmetic amenities are provided in the bathroom: shampoo and body wash in one, liquid soap, shower cap, ear cleaners, makeup remover pads, and a nail file.

Would you feel safer showering using a bathroom chair? Let us know at the reception and we will prepare one for your bathroom!
Bed linen
In our hotel, bed linen is changed twice a week: Please notify reception if you require daily or additional changes. If you would like to request an extra blanket or pillow for a restful night’s sleep, or wish to have your pillow replaced, please contact our staff. You can choose from the following pillow types:

Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the hotel’s rustic yet modern-style vaulted cellar from 7:00 to 10:00 during the week and from 7:00 to 10:30 on Saturday and Sunday. You can also request breakfast in your room for an extra charge. Guests following a vegan diet or have other dietary requirements are also welcome! However, we kindly ask our guests to inform us in advance. We serve gluten- and lactose free meals as well.
Carbon Footprint
The carbon footprint of Hotel Piano has been calculated in accordance with the Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative (HCMI) methodology for the period October 2024 – September 2025. The calculation is based on the hotel’s energy use, heating, electricity consumption, and outsourced laundry services. The total calculated carbon footprint is 31.78 tCO₂e, equivalent to 7.40 kg CO₂e per room night.
Charger cables
Charging cables and adapters compatible with various mobile phones are available at the reception. We can also provide a converter if you have an adapter from abroad.
Check-in
The rooms can be occupied from 14:00 on the day of arrival. Earlier arrivals are possible on request and subject to availability. Please turn to the reception.
Check-out
Rooms must be vacated by 10:00 on the day of departure. Depending on your needs, late check-out is possible for an additional fee, however it depends on the occupancy rate, which you should discuss in advance with the reception.
Cleaning
Rooms are cleaned every two days, but bins are emptied daily. If you would prefer daily cleaning, please notify the front desk or place the ” Cleaning, please!” sign outside your door. If you do not want to be disturbed or just want to relax in your room, please place the “Do Not Disturb” sign outside your door.
Complaint management
If you have any complaints, please feel free to let our reception staff know during your stay, and they will do their best to find a solution to any problems.

We provide a communal computer for our guests on the first floor of our hotel.

Damage
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the room or hotel premises during their stay. The hotel is entitled to charge the guest responsible for the damage for the costs of the repair or replacement.

Our guests can buy tickets to the Zoo (Vadaspark), the Ferenc Móra Museum and its exhibitions (Black House, Szeged Castle and Stone Castle), the Ópusztaszeri Memorial Park, and the Park of a Thousand Years in Mórahalom with a discount. Ask for the discount coupons at the reception!
Early arrival
Arriving earlier than 14:00? Please let us know when booking your room, and you will be able to occupy your room from 12:00 for an extra charge.
Electric charging
The nearest electric car/bike charging station is located only two minutes from our hotel at 85. Petőfi Sándor Avenue.

Environmental protection
Our hotel is committed to environmental protection. We are still at the beginning of our journey, but we already use solar energy to heat our water, sort the waste separately, act against food waste, and refurbish furniture. Please join us on this journey!
First aid station
A first aid kit is available at our hotel reception for treating possible injuries. Our reception staff are happy to assist you with any first aid you may require.
Food selection
You can order from the Lobby Bar menu 24 hours a day, with room service for an additional room service fee.
Hair dryer
You can find a hair dryer in all of our bathrooms.
Half-board
Guests can enjoy half-board in the ZERO restaurant opposite our hotel. The restaurant also pays special attention to dairy, egg and gluten-free diets. Half-board guests can choose from a range of dishes prepared with quality ingredients. The menu includes a main course and a choice of soup or dessert, as well as a bottle of mineral water.

Iron
Upon request, we can provide an iron and ironing board free of charge. After ironing, please return the iron to the reception desk.

Late check-out
Do you have some errands to run or just want to rest longer on the day of your departure? If our availability allows, you can stay in your room until 14:00 at the latest for an extra charge.
Laundry and ironing services
If you need to do laundry, please place your clothes in the laundry bag in your room and leave it at the reception. You can also indicate your need for ironing at the reception. Laundry and ironing of clothes dropped off before 9:00 can be done the same day.
We use an external service provider for dry cleaning. Upon request, we will pick up and deliver your clothes for cleaning. Dry cleaning takes 4 to 24 hours.
Letter paper
You will find both letter paper and an envelope in the room folder.
Lobby bar
Our hotel’s Lobby Bar is open 24 hours a day, offering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, snacks and hot sandwiches.
Lost and found
If you have forgotten something here, please contact us, and after consultation with the reception, we will return it to you via GLS. To ensure smooth delivery, we need your exact address, name, phone number, and e-mail address. The guest is responsible for paying the delivery cost in advance by bank transfer. Of course, if you come back to us, you can pick up your forgotten item at the reception desk. We will keep any items found after your departure for one year.
Luggage service
We will take your luggage to your room on request and collect it upon departure.
Luggage storage
Not ready to leave immediately after checking out and keen to wander the city without your suitcases? Leave your bags at the reception! We will keep it safe and look after it until your return.
Meeting room
For events and training courses, the hotel restaurant is available from around 11:00 after breakfast. The room can accommodate up to 40 people.

Please ask at reception for the contact details of the doctor on call.
Minibar
For environmental reasons, there are no minibars in our hotel rooms. Instead, our Lobby bar and room service are available to our guests 24 hours a day.
Night-time gate closing
Please note that we close our big gate every night at nightfall. You will find a bell and an intercom on the left side of the gate, which you can press to be let in.
Ordering
You would like to order something: a meal, a bouquet of flowers, a birthday cake, but you don’t know where to get it? Our receptionists are always happy to help you choose and order.
Packed breakfast
Want to get an early start and can’t wait for breakfast from 7:00? No problem. We’ll be happy to prepare a “grab-and-go” travel pack so you don’t miss out on breakfast, which you can eat on the go. Please let us know at the reception the day before your trip!
Parking
There is a closed parking lot for eight cars in the hotel’s inner courtyard. If you would like to use our car park, please let us know at the reception when booking. Free parking spaces are available on a first come, first served basis and are subject to a surcharge.
Unfortunately, buses and larger vehicles cannot park in the car park as the gate is 240×240 cm. You can, however, park in front of the hotel in the green parking zone, which is payable between 8:00 and 18:00. Outside this period and on weekends it is free of charge.

We accept payments by VISA, Maestro and Mastercard debit cards (and SZÉP-card.) We do not accept AmEx cards!

You can pay in cash (HUF, EUR), by bank card (VISA, Maestro, Mastercard), by Széchenyi holiday card or even with a gift voucher issued by our hotel.
Pen, notepad
You can find a pen and notepad in your room on the desk.
Pets
Our hotel is pet-friendly, we also welcome puppies (up to 15 kg). Please let us know when booking if you will be travelling with a dog so that we can be prepared to accommodate you. This service is available at an extra charge.
For the comfort of our other guests, please keep your dog on a leash in the common areas of the hotel. The restaurant is a pet-free area, so please leave your pet in the room during breakfast.
Please only leave your pet alone for longer periods if you are sure that separation anxiety (barking, scratching) will not be triggered by being alone.
The Owner is fully liable for any damage caused by the pet on the hotel’s premises, whether financial, legal or moral.
Pharmacy
The nearest pharmacy is the “Pingvin Patika” found on Dugonics Square, 250 meters away, about a 5-minute walk away from our Hotel.
Photocopying
We offer photocopying services for both colour or black-and-white documents at our reception for a fee.

- Memory Bamboo pillow 60×40 cm
The design of the product is inspired by the traditional pillow shape, combined with modern ergonomic requirements. It was developed by NASA scientists in the 1960s and became more widely available in the 1990s. Memory foam pillows return to their original shape after each use. The great advantage of this is that it supports the neck vertebrae during sleep, keeping the spine straight. The bamboo woven into the pillowcase ensures a cosy, dry night’s sleep thanks to its high moisture absorption and release properties.
Play corner
The hotel’s restaurant offers a play corner with colouring books, board games and a new play kitchen for children! Parents can eat their meals in a relaxed atmosphere while the little ones have fun.

Printing
You can print your documents at any time using the guest computer located on the first floor. The printed copies can be picked up at the reception desk for an additional fee.

Restaurant
In the basement of the building there is a cosy restaurant with a capacity of 50 people, which is also our breakfast venue, but also suitable for training courses, meetings and conferences. Lunch, dinner and coffee breaks for groups are available on request and by prior arrangement.

Room key
Please hand your room key to reception each time you leave the hotel. If you accidentally take the key home upon departure, please return it to us by post.

Safe
Each room has a hotel safe with a unique combination of numbers that you can enter on first use. You will find a manual next to the safe to help you set it up.

Shampoo and bodywash
The bathrooms contain shampoo and bodywash dispensers in the shower cabin, which can be used for both hair and body.
Shoe cleaning
Our hotel has a shoe cleaning machine in the restaurant hall, which you can use to quickly clean your shoes, but you will also find a shoe cleaning sponge in the closet in your room.

Smoke free hotel policy
Smoking is not permitted inside the building. Guests may smoke only in the designated outdoor areas. Smoke detectors are installed in the rooms, which are sensitive to cigarette smoke. The guest is responsible for any costs resulting from the alarm. If you still smoke in the room, you will be charged a compensation fee of 100€ for extra cleaning.

Toothbrush and toothpaste
Did you leave your toothbrush at home? Contact our receptionist and we will give you a free travel toothbrush set with toothpaste.

Small and large towels are provided in the bathroom as standard, and additional towels are provided free of charge on request. Please throw the towels on the floor if you no longer wish to use them and require a replacement. The environment is important to us, so we would like to avoid polluting the environment with unnecessary chemicals as much as possible.
Umbrella
It’s started raining, but you don’t have an umbrella? Our guests can borrow umbrellas free of charge during their stay, which must be returned to reception upon departure.
Visitors
Please inform the reception of any visitors you will have upon your arrival. Visitors are not permitted in guest rooms after 22:00.
Wake-up call
If you would like to request a wake-up call, please let the reception know. The service is free of charge.
Washing machine and dryer
Our guests can do their own laundry for a fee using the washing machine designated for this purpose in our laundry room. Please ask at reception about the service fee and how to use the washing machine and dryer.
