Many of our furnishings have a story to tell: they are restored or repurposed pieces, lovingly brought back to life by local craftsmen. From antique market treasures to family heirlooms, each item adds its own character to the hotel’s warm, authentic atmosphere.

Our green hotel philosophy extends to the restaurant as well. “Don’t waste food!” signs on the tables encourage mindful dining, while any leftover bread and fruit are donated to those in need – or shared among our team through the “Save me” box initiative.

Hotel Piano also takes energy efficiency seriously. We use solar panels, modern energy-saving boilers, and individually controlled air-conditioning systems in every room – ensuring both comfort and sustainability all year round. Guests are invited to participate in selective waste collection, supporting our shared environmental goals.

According to the Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative (HCMI), our carbon footprint for 2024–2025 is 31.78 tons CO₂e, equivalent to 7.40 kg CO₂e per guest night – placing Hotel Piano among the most sustainable hotels in Szeged.
